What happens to the skin in summer?
The sun increases the need for moisture and protection. UV rays dry out the skin and weaken the skin barrier, making it more vulnerable to pigment changes and aging.
The skin starts producing more sebum because the heat and sweat stimulate oil production. This can lead to shiny skin, clogged pores and small breakouts – especially if you use products that are too heavy. Salt water and chlorine dry out the skin. A day at the beach or in the pool is great – but it’s also hard on the skin.

Tip: Remember to moisturize – even for oily skin
It's a myth that you don't need to use moisturizer if your skin is oily. Often, skin becomes more oily because it lacks water. Use products that provide moisture to the skin throughout the day. Active moisturizers are, for example, hyaluronic acid, vegetable glycerin, peptides, squalane.
