The mature skin

In general, mature skin is characterized by reduced elasticity, wrinkles, dryness and pigment changes – and requires targeted care to strengthen, protect and rebuild the skin’s structure and glow. The mature skin condition refers to skin that shows natural signs of aging — a process that begins gradually around the age of 30-35 and becomes more evident over time.

This condition is characterized by both internal (biological) and external (environmental) changes. Lacking/decreasing hormones, especially estrogen, which affects all the body's cells to perform optimally, weakens with age - unfortunately. Therefore, it is important that we start with good skin care habits, so that we can maintain instead of trying to correct a lot of loss.

The mature skin

Characteristics of mature skin

  • Visible lines around the eyes, mouth and forehead.
  • Wrinkles become deeper with age.
  • The skin loses its elasticity and begins to "sag". This is due to the breakdown of collagen and elastin.
  • Less fullness and thickness in the skin layers.
  • Increased risk of dryness and irritation.
  • Sebum production decreases with age.
  • The skin loses moisture and can feel tight and uneven.
  • Age spots and hyperpigmentation (sun spots) become more prominent.
  • The skin may appear greyish or dull in tone.
  • The skin regenerates more slowly, which can give a tired and lifeless surface.

Reasons for the changes

  • Intrinsic aging (genetics): A natural process in which cell activity in the skin decreases.
  • External factors: UV radiation (photoaging), pollution, smoking, stress and diet play a major role in how quickly the skin ages.
  • Hormonal changes: Menopause in particular leads to changes in skin structure and moisture. Estrogen plays a huge role in the skin.

Skincare recommendations for mature skin

Use products with active ingredients such as:

  • Retinol or the more natural A vitamins and peptides (stimulates collagen production).
  • Hyaluronic acid or squalane (provides moisture and volume)
  • Antioxidants (vitamin C, vitamin E – protect against free radicals)

Our SERUM contains, among other things, natural vitamin A, vitamin C that gives glow and evens out pigment changes, vitamin E for healing, vitamin D that soothes, as well as hyaluronic acid and marine peptides.

Exfoliation to promote cell renewal.

Our 3IN1 is both a daily cleanser, but can be used once a week for exfoliation. Papaya enzymes gently remove dead skin cells and pave the way for the marine peptides it also contains. It is therefore also a moisturizing mask.

Always use sunscreen (SPF 15-30) daily. Preferably physical filters that are 100% natural and do not block pores or leave a layer of chemicals on the skin all day.

Moisturize with rich creams and serums that strengthen the skin barrier.

Our LIGHT face cream contains only nourishing oils and moisture as well as SPF15 of physical filters. Our BODY BUTTER contains many active ingredients and is a thick cream that can also be used as a face mask.
